How this works
XIRR (extended internal rate of return) is the annualised rate that makes the present value of all your cash flows equal to zero, taking the exact date of each cash flow into account.
Enter investments as negative amounts and redemptions or the current value as positive amounts. At least one negative and one positive cash flow are required.
The rate is solved numerically (Newton–Raphson, with a bisection fallback). It is commonly used to measure returns on SIPs and irregular investments.
XIRR describes the return on the cash flows entered and does not indicate future performance.
The results shown are illustrative estimates based on the assumptions you enter and are not a guarantee of future returns. Actual returns may be higher or lower. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme related documents carefully. Past performance does not guarantee future returns.
